The Committee members outlined the concerns of the area and requested the Town Councils assistance to alleviate some of the problems.</div> <bR> <div> <B>05)     </B><B><U>Update on Westport Policing Plan</U></B></div> <bR> <div> The Cathaoirleach welcomed Superintendent Pat Doyle and Sergeant Denis Harrington. Superintendent Doyle updated the members on the present policing format and the crime statistics for the district.</div> <bR> <div> <B>06)     </B><B><U>To approve Amenity Grants 2006</U></B></div> <bR> <div> The Amenity Grants 2006 as circulated were discussed</div> <bR> <div> Proposed by:          Cllr B. It would include official switch on of the Christmas lights on Saturday 2<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Comic Sans MS" >nd</FONT> December, the arrival of Santa, fun activities and carol singing on Saturday 9<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Comic Sans MS" >th</FONT> December and the running of the Christmas markets on 9<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Comic Sans MS" >th</FONT>, 16<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Comic Sans MS" >th</FONT> and 23<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Comic Sans MS" >rd</FONT> December.</div> <bR> <div> <B>09)     </B><B><U>Conferences</U></B></div> <bR> <div> Proposed by:          Cllr  D.
