Westport wins Tidy Towns

Cllr Keith Martin of Westport Town Council warmly welcomed Westport’s Tidy Town’s result. Cllr Martin says the two titles that Westport won, Best overall Tidy Town and best Large Tidy Town “are testament to the hard work of the Westport community and Elsie Higgins’s Tidy Towns committee. Westport Council’s outdoor staff played a huge role but this complimented the day in, day out work by the Tidy Towns volunteers who worked hard rain or shine. I would also pay tribute to the citizens of the town who kept their gardens, premises, streets and estates so clean. The people of Westport should be proud,” he concluded.
